Choosing the right oils for your skin-type


Carrier Oil for Essential Oil

A Carrier Oil is simply a base or vegetable oil, used to dilute the essential oils before being applied to the skin. The best carrier oils bring to the table their own special benefits that will work in sync with the essential oils used in Aromatherapy Massage Oil.

For example, avocado oil and grapeseed oil are commonly used as natural remedies for eczema.  
Fractionated coconut oil works great as a carrier oil for essential oil as it won't stain your clothes or sheets.  (try this on a small area of your fabric to test it for yourself.

Feel free to change up the base oils used, to find what works best for your skin type, as they are tremendous natural remedies healing benefits to your skin.

Sweet Almond Oil
  • Rich in proteins and Vitamin D

Fractionated Coconut Oil (liquid state)
  • Used on oily skin as it won't clog pores

  • Will spray through a pump sprayer
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Best when using extra virgin cold-pressed
  • Good for use on dry skin
  • Rich in minerals, vitamins & proteins
  • Best when diluted 10% in other oils
  • Effective in the relief of arthritis & muscle pains
Avocado Oil (unrefined)
  • Rich in vitamins A, D and E & essential proteins
  • Best for dry, dehydrated or aging skin
  • Effective used for eczema
  • Recommended for use with a lighter oil (sweet almond)
Grape Seed Oil
  • Some astringent qualities
  • Good for oily or acne prone skin
  • Tightens and tones the skin

Rice Bran Oil
  • Packed with Vitamin E
